THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17. DEPARTURE: NEW YORK (JFK)/JOHANNESBURG: SOUTH AFRICA: Your destiny with Africa begins today as you board your transatlantic flight. Depart on South African Airways flight SA 204 New York (JFK) at 11:15am. NOTE: For security reasons, check-In counter opens 4 hours before departure and closes 1 hours before take off. You are allowed to check-in 2 pieces of luggage free, each weighing 50lbs or less, and 1 carry-on WEIGHING 12lbs or less. Please remember your passports, and any visas required. We provide free visa service, however visa fees charged by Embassies must accompany visa applications plus required recent passport photos and a valid passport. United States passport holders do not require visas to enter South Africa. NOTE: ROUND-TRIP ADD-ON FARES ARE AVAILABLE FROM MOST MAJOR US CITIES.
Day Two
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18. JOHANNESBURG: SOUTH AFRICA: Arrival-Johannesburg & Pretoria cities tour. Arrive in Johannesburg at 8:03 am. After completing immigration and Custom formalities, we’ll transfer to your hotel to rest for a couple of hours. Afternoon drive thru Johannesburg to see, among other things, the most recent residence where Mandela Spent the last years of his life and the Financial District (including the stock market). We conclude the tour with a drive thru Pretoria, the Administrative Capital of South Africa. Return to the hotel. Welcome dinner & orientation. Overnight.

Day Three
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19- JOHANNESBURG: Full Day Experience in Historic Soweto: Breakfast. Today, we’ll experience a cultural immersion which is quite exciting but at the same time sobering. We’ll first visit Kliptown, the oldest residential district of Seweto.This is the center where many congresses were formed to oppose the apartheid regime; including the now ruling African National Congress (ANC). We’ll visit the Walter Sisulu Freedom Square to see the pillars on the famous freedom fighters and the monument of the Freedom Charter.
Next we’ll visit the Hector Pieterson Museum. The museum was opened in 2002 to commemorate the Soweto uprisings in memory of Hector Pieterson, who was killed by police on June 16, 1976 during student protests against the implementation Afrikaans as one of the languages to be used officially in school. After lunch (not included) we’ll transfer to the Mandela Family Museum which is located in Nelson Mandela’s first home. He lived there from 1946 until 1957 with his first wife Evelyn Ntoko Mase, and then Winnie Midikizela Mandela from 1958 until 1962, when he was arrested and imprisoned. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day Four
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20-JOHANNESBURG: Rhino/Lion Game Park Safari/Lasedi Village . In order than we may see more wild animals, we’ll depart our hotel very early this morning. Wake up call will be 4:00am. Proceed to the breakfast room to pick up your boxed carry-out breakfast. Depart from the hotel at 4:30am. Arrive at the Lion-Rhino Game Reserve experience the beauty of the wild animal, including the big five in their natural habitat. Explore the park until noon. After lunch, not included, we’ll return to the city to visit the Apartheid Museum which was opened in 2001. The museum tells the story of apartheid and illustrates the fall of apartheid. The country’s history with racial discrimination is exhibited in multi-media for visitors to see through photographs, film footage, text panels and other artifacts. Return to our hotel. Prepare for the next day trip to Cape Town. Overnight.

Day Five
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21-JOHANNESBURG/CAPE TOWN: Depart for Cape Town. Breakfast at leisure. Early afternoon transfer to the airport for your trip to Cape Town, regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. South African Airways flight SA-133 departs Johannesburg for Cape Town at 1:00pm. Arrive at 3:10pm and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.

Day Six
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22 – CAPE TOWN: Robben Island Tours/Table Mountain/Shopping/ Robben Island Tours. Breakfast. we’ll transfer to the waterfront and board one of the speedboats to Robben Island. Notoriously known as the prison where anti-apartheid leaders like the former and current Presidents of South Africa Nelson Madela and Jacob Zuma respectively were incarcerated. Robert Sobukwe (founding leader of the Pan African Congress together with Govan Mbeki father of former South African President Thabo Mbeki. You will visit the jail room which Mandela occupied during his 18 years of incarceration.
Return to the mainland. After lunch (not included), Late morning departure to visit the famous majestic Table Mountain. This mountain gets its name from its shape which from afar looks like an old dinning table. To get to it’s 3,558 ft peak, we’ll have to ride in cable cars. Apart from the breathtaking views and its diverse vegetation, there are also very good restaurants and gift shops to occupy your time. NOTE: Optional one, Visit the Table Mountain. Option 2: Go shopping for your African clothes. Return to the hotel. Overnight

Day Seven
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23 – CAPE TOWN: Langa Township/ District Six Museum Tours/
Shopping at the Green Market Square. Breakfast. Late morning departure for a tour of the Langa Township. This Township was first developed in 1898 under a rebellious Xhosa chief named Langalibalele. The town was originally called “Langalibalele’s Location, which was later shortened to Langa which means “Sun” in Xhosa. On March 21 1960, during one of the apartheid resistance demonstrations, several people were killed in a clash with the police. A monument was constructed in 2010 for those who lost their lives. After lunch (not included) we’ll visit the District 6 museum which is dedicated to the more than 60,000 blacks who were forcibly removed in 1901 from their homes and relocated against their will. This museum holds a collection of archival materials that capture the lives of the people who once lived in District 6. Transfer to the Green Market Square to Shop for the African
Immersion Night. Return to the hotel. Overnight

Day Eight
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24 – CAPE TOWN: Cape of Good Hope/Wine Tasting/Africa Immersion Night. Early breakfast and depart for the Cape Point Tour. We shall travel along the scenic coast to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. A short walk will take us to the scenic hillcrest where we’ll have the opportunity to view the two oceans meeting as one. The Cape is Africa’s southern-most point. Depart the Cape for a stop at a Wine Farm for Wine Tasting. Enjoy lunch (not included) at a restaurant on the farm. Stop by your hotel to freshen up and dress up in your African clothes. Transfer to the Gold Restaurant to enjoy an Africa Immersion Farewell Dinner. Return to the hotel. Prepare for next day trip to Johannesburg and USA.

Day Nine
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 – CAPE TOWN/JOHANNESBURG/NEW YORK: Day to return Home. Breakfast at leisure. Check out from the hotel at noon. Transfer to Cape Town airport for your flight to Johannesburg and New York. South African Airways flight SA-334 departs for Johannesburg at 1:15pm. Arrive at 6:40pm and connect to flight SA-203 departing for New York at 9:00pm.

DAY 10. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26 – USA: Arrive in New York (JFK) Airport at 6:40am. All too soon you are back home, with memories to cherish for the rest of your life.
